Abstract
PSYCHIATRY CONGRESS 2020- STIMULATION BY THE АPPARATUS "ELECTRONICS CHENS-2M" IN THE СOMPLEX TREATMENT OF HEROIN WITHDRAWAL SYNDROME
Author(s): Sushko Vyacheslav VIntroduction
Stimulation by apparatus "Electronics Chens-2M" stimulates the production of endorphins, substances that inhibit the pain impulses.
Objectives
We examined heroin abusers who stopped taking heroin immediately before they were included in the study. They were then randomly divided into two groups. The control group of patients receiving only medication for heroin withdrawal syndrome (n=54). The studied group of patients (n=68) with heroin withdrawal, along with drug treatment, received therapy with the help of the apparatus "Electronics Chens-2M".
Methods
Each patient of the research group was provided with an individual apparatus "Electronics Chens-2M". Patients of the research group applied 24 electrodes apparatus "Electronics Chens-2M" to the ear surface and regulated the current until there was a feeling of slight tingling. The duration of the procedure was 20 minutes on each ear, with repetition every 2 hours. Patients were assessed according to the Scale of opioid drug withdrawal.
Results
At the end of the treatment there was a recovery of vital functions and stabilization of psychophysical state in both groups of patients. Subjectively, the patients of the research group expressed firmer attitudes to maintaining a sober lifestyle, as well as passing through all stages of heroin addiction treatment.
Conclusions
With a strong motivation to maintain a sober lifestyle, critical abilities, personality structure and adaptive capabilities on the all stages of heroin addiction treatment, the prognosis of treatment in patients of both groups is positive.
